"Good Things" by Chad Mackey
We wonder why these days go by
The way they do and we rely
On the next day, and the next
Until the weekend comes
And when it finally comes around
We turn our frowns upside down
To only let the smiles come out ‘til
Sunday lets the sun go down
CHORUS:
Every time we turn around
Another day of ours just comes on down
But that’s just one more we can hang on the wall
And think of all the good things
It’s Tuesday, it’s 7 a.m.,
And time for us to go to work again
Go work that job, work real hard,
Get that money, spend it running,
Place to place, to fill the space,
We follow but we don’t like the chase
Of where they’re going, going gone,
Is the color of the morning dawn
Shut your mouth, hold that yawn,
Can’t be tired ‘til the day is done
Got some errands left to run,
Then they snatch up all your fun,
Life is hard, but melodic
Can be simple and chaotic
Hectic when you think you got it,
Sometimes can be quite ironic
CHORUS:
Every time we turn around
Another day just comes on down
But that’s just one more
We can hang on the wall
CHORUS:
